The Civitan Club of Salisbury awards $20,000

in scholarships every year to both high school

and college students.  A large portion of the

monies comes from the Club’s Nonprofit Foun-

dation, a 501(c)(3) organization which accepts

donations to be used expressly for  our scholar-

ships.   We offer the following scholarships

each year:

FOR ROWAN COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS:

• The Mort Lerner Scholarship – $2,000​

• The Michael Yang Scholarship - $2,000

• The Clifford Peeler Humanitarian Scholarship - $2,000

• The Rev. William K. Adams Memorial Scholarship - $2,000

FOR STUDENTS ATTENDING LOCAL COLLEGES:

• The Dr. Walter Low Tatum Scholarship in Nursing (2 winners) - $2,000

• The Frank W. Goodnight Scholarship in Music - $2,000

• The Milton B. Faust Scholarship in Education - $2,000

• The Dr. Jack Knox Scholarship in Education - $2,000

• The U.S.S. Dorchester – Civitan Scholarship - $2,000
